Pristina: As the capital, Pristina boasts the most comprehensive 4G and growing 5G coverage. You'll find a strong, reliable connection in central areas like Mother Teresa Boulevard and the Newborn monument. Signal can be weaker inside large concrete structures like shopping malls or in the basements of older buildings, but is generally excellent across the city's surface-level bus network.

Prizren: This historic city offers excellent 4G coverage throughout its central tourist districts, including the Shadervan square and along the river. The signal remains strong on the ascent to the Prizren Fortress. However, connections may weaken inside the thick-walled stone buildings and deep within the narrow, winding streets of the old Turkish quarter.

Peja: Connectivity within the city of Peja is very reliable with solid 4G service. You'll stay well-connected while exploring the city center and the area around the Patriarchate of Peć. Be aware that as you travel out of the city and into the mountainous Rugova Gorge, the signal will become intermittent and is often unavailable in deeper parts of the canyon.

Gjakova: You can expect strong 4G connectivity across most of Gjakova, especially in the modern parts of the city. While exploring the vast Old Bazaar (Çarshia e Madhe), outdoor coverage is dependable, but the signal may dip when you are deep inside the traditional stone and wood craft shops or older cafes.

Major Highways (R6 & R7): Connectivity is generally strong along Kosovo's main motorways, the R6 "Arbën Xhaferi" (Pristina to North Macedonia) and the R7 "Ibrahim Rugova" (Pristina to Albania). You can expect reliable 4G signal for most of the journey, though brief drops may occur in more sparsely populated sections between major towns.

Trainkos Rail Network: Signal consistency on the Trainkos rail lines, such as the routes from Pristina to Peja or to Hani i Elezit, is variable. While you will have a connection in and around stations and urban areas, the signal can become intermittent or drop entirely as the train passes through rural valleys and more remote countryside.

Mountainous Areas: Expect significant signal loss when traveling into Kosovo's mountain ranges. The Sharr Mountains in the south and the Accursed Mountains in the west, including the Rugova Canyon area near Peja, have large areas with no mobile coverage, especially away from villages or tourist centers like Brezovica.

Tunnels and Canyons: Mobile signal is typically lost completely inside longer road tunnels, such as those found on the R6 and R7 motorways. Service resumes promptly upon exiting. Similarly, deep canyons and gorges can block signals, leading to temporary dead zones while driving through them.

Remote Border Zones: The remote, mountainous border areas, particularly along the frontiers with Albania and North Macedonia, are known for inconsistent mobile network coverage. Once you leave the main cross-border highways, signal strength can weaken considerably or disappear altogether in these regions.
