How Your Data Usage Is Calculated
Bcengi uses true pay-as-you-go billing. You are charged for exactly the data you use — down to the kilobyte.
Per-Kilobyte Billing
- Rates are displayed per GB for easy comparison, but you are charged per KB of actual usage
- If you use 100 MB in a $1.26/GB country, you pay approximately $0.13 — not the full GB price
- There is no rounding up to the nearest GB or MB

- Each country has its own rate based on local carrier agreements
- Rates range from $1.12/GB (Turkey) to higher rates in remote destinations

What Counts as Data Usage
- Web browsing, email, social media
- App data (WhatsApp, Maps, Uber, etc.)
- Streaming audio and video
- VoIP calls (WhatsApp calls, FaceTime, Zoom)
- Background app refresh and sync
- System updates (if not on WiFi)
What Does NOT Use Data
- Regular phone calls and SMS (these use your physical SIM)
- WiFi connections (when on WiFi, the eSIM is not used)

- Real-time usage is reflected in your phone's built-in data tracker
- Your balance decreases in real time even though the portal updates hourly
