eSIM Not Connecting After Landing — Quick Fix

Just Landed — eSIM Not Connecting

You installed your eSIM before your trip, you have landed, and now it will not connect. This is normal — your phone needs a moment to find and register on a local network. Here is what to do.

Quick Fix (90% of cases)

  1. Turn off Airplane Mode if it is still on from the flight
  2. Enable Data Roaming for your Bcengi eSIM:
    • iPhone: Settings → Cellular → [Bcengi line] → Data Roaming → ON
    • Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → [Bcengi] → Data Roaming → ON
  3. Set Bcengi as your data line:
    • iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → select Bcengi
    • Android: Settings → SIMs → Mobile Data → Bcengi
  4. Wait 1–2 minutes — the phone is searching for available networks

If Still Not Connecting After 2 Minutes

  1. Toggle Airplane Mode ON, wait 15 seconds, then OFF
  2. This forces a fresh network search
  3. Wait another minute

If That Does Not Work

  1. Restart your phone completely (power off, wait 10 seconds, power on)
  2. After restart, check that Data Roaming is still ON and Bcengi is the data line
  3. Android users: Check that APN is set to globaldata
