Payment Declined — How to Fix It
If your card was declined when trying to add funds or during an auto-refill, here are the most common causes and solutions.
Common Causes
- Card expired: Check your card's expiration date. If it has expired or been replaced, update it in your portal.
- Insufficient funds: Make sure your card has enough available balance.
- Bank fraud protection: Some banks flag international or unfamiliar charges. Contact your bank to approve the charge.
- Card cancelled or replaced: If your bank sent a replacement card, the old one no longer works.
- 3D Secure / verification: Some cards require additional authentication. Make sure pop-ups are not blocked in your browser.
How to Fix It
- Log in at travel.bcengi.com
- Go to Settings → Payment Methods
- Update your existing card or add a new payment method
- Try adding funds again with the new card
If Auto-Refill Failed
When auto-refill fails, your balance may reach $0 and your eSIM stops working. To fix:
- Update your payment method in the portal
- Click Add Funds to manually top up immediately
- Your eSIM will reconnect within a few minutes of adding balance
- Make sure Auto-Refill is still enabled for future top-ups
