eSIM Shows Signal But No Internet — Fix

Signal But No Internet — The Fix

If your eSIM shows signal bars (or a carrier name) but web pages will not load and apps cannot connect, the issue is almost certainly your APN settings or data line configuration.

Fix 1: Set the APN to globaldata (Android)

This is the most common fix for this specific problem on Android devices.

  1. Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → [Bcengi]
  2. Tap Access Point Names
  3. If globaldata is listed, select it
  4. If not, tap Add or the + icon:
    • Name: Bcengi
    • APN: globaldata
    • Leave username, password, and all other fields blank
  5. Save and make sure it is selected (radio button filled)

Fix 2: Confirm Bcengi Is Your Data Line (iPhone & Android)

  • iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → make sure Bcengi is selected, not your physical SIM
  • Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Mobile Data → select Bcengi

Fix 3: Toggle Airplane Mode

  1. Turn Airplane Mode ON
  2. Wait 10 seconds
  3. Turn Airplane Mode OFF
  4. Wait 30 seconds

Fix 4: iPhone — Reset Network Settings

If the above steps do not work on iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings
  2. This will reset WiFi passwords and cellular settings
  3. After the reset, go back to Cellular settings and ensure Data Roaming is ON and Bcengi is set as the data line
