Set APN to globaldata — The #1 Android eSIM Fix
If your eSIM is installed on Android but you have no data, the Access Point Name (APN) setting is the most likely fix. This does not apply to iPhone — iOS sets the APN automatically.
What Is an APN?
The APN (Access Point Name) tells your phone how to connect to the mobile network's data service. If it is missing or wrong, your phone gets signal but cannot access the internet.
Step-by-Step: Standard Android (Pixel, Motorola, OnePlus, etc.)
- Open Settings
- Tap Network & Internet
- Tap SIMs and select your Bcengi eSIM
- Tap Access Point Names
- Check if any of these APNs are already present and selected: globaldata, internet, ims, isp, plus, orange
- If one of those is selected, the APN is fine — your issue is elsewhere
- If none are present, tap the + icon or Add to create a new APN:
- Name: Bcengi
- APN: globaldata
- Username: (leave blank)
- Password: (leave blank)
- Leave all other fields at their defaults
- Tap Save (or the three-dot menu → Save)
- Select the new Bcengi / globaldata APN (make sure the radio button is filled)
Step-by-Step: Samsung Galaxy
- Open Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap Mobile Networks
- Tap Access Point Names
- If your Bcengi eSIM is not shown, tap the SIM selector at the top to switch to it
- Tap Add and enter: Name = Bcengi, APN = globaldata
- Save and select
After Setting the APN
- Toggle Airplane Mode on and off
- Wait 30 seconds
- If still not connecting, restart your phone
