To delete an eSIM, open Settings → Cellular on iPhone or Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs on Android, select the eSIM and tap Delete eSIM or Remove. Deleting a Bcengi eSIM from your phone does not delete your balance: it stays in your Bcengi account and never expires.
Delete an eSIM on iPhone
- Go to Settings → Cellular
- Tap the eSIM line you want to delete
- Tap Delete eSIM (or Remove eSIM)
- Confirm
Delete an eSIM on Android
- Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs (Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM Manager)
- Select the eSIM
- Tap Delete or Remove
- Confirm
Check the line's name before you confirm. Deleting your home carrier's eSIM removes that line from the phone, and getting it back goes through your carrier.
What Deleting a Bcengi eSIM Does
- It removes the eSIM from this phone, so the Bcengi line no longer connects on it
- With no connection, the line uses no data, so there are no data charges
What It Does Not Do
- It does not delete your balance. Your balance is tied to your Bcengi account, not to the eSIM on your phone, and it never expires
- It does not cancel anything: there is no subscription or monthly fee to cancel
- It does not change Auto-Refill, which is a setting in your account
Do You Need to Delete It Between Trips?
No. One Bcengi eSIM works on every trip, so you install it once and keep it on your phone. Between trips, turn the line off in your phone's settings or pause your eSIM in your account. When you travel again, turn it back on and top up any time.
Deleted It by Mistake? Reinstall It
- Log in at travel.bcengi.com or open the Bcengi app
- Go to your eSIM detail page
- Click eSIM QR & Info
- Scan the QR code to reinstall
If the QR code does not work, the old eSIM profile may need to be released first. Contact support@bcengi.com: the team will release the old profile and provide a fresh activation code. Your balance is the same as before you deleted the eSIM. More help: how to reinstall your eSIM, and how to install and activate it on iPhone or Android.
Moving to a New Phone?
Do not delete the eSIM first. Follow how to transfer your eSIM to a new phone: support issues a new eSIM for your new phone, and you delete the old one once the new one works.
Bcengi TravelPass is a pay-as-you-go eSIM: one eSIM, installed once, for every trip. Your balance never expires, and you can top up any time.
